Hello dear readers! Jessie here - nutritionist, mama, and unrepentant food-lover. In my nutrition practice, I see clients individually and hold educational nutrition workshops in Albany, CA. Most excitingly, as of November 2018 I am also a mom to an adorable, energetic, and hungry baby boy :-)
Even with a solid background in nutrition, I found that eating well during pregnancy was a struggle, and finding time to cook (let alone eat!) while nursing all day is quite the challenge. Between nursing, sleeping, studying and writing, I need quick and simple options for foods that are nutrition-dense and delicious to feed me, my husband, and our rapidly-growing bundle of joy. If I'm finding this difficult, I know there must be other mamas out there struggling as well.
I love learning, cooking, and teaching, so I started this site with the goal of supporting YOU - new and expectant mothers, as well as supporting family members - with tips on healthy meal prep ideas as well as guidance on what you actually need to eat to support your optimal health and get your baby off to a great start.
